Here are a few helpful hints to help your resume catch the recruiter’s attention. 

Studies show that the average screening time for a candidate’s resume clocks in at a six-second average screening time. In other words, to make the right impression with an employer, it needs to pass the six-second rule. Below are a few hints to help you pass the six-second resume test.

  • Your name needs to be consist with the way it appears on your LinkedIn profile and other materials you provide.
  • Include your certifications after your name.
  • Include your phone number and email address in your resume. Mailing address is not recommended.
  • Include a professional title that clearly states your intent.
