In the age of the Novel Coronavirus, and beyond, PIHRA is here to support you.
We’re so glad you’re here to learn how you can support PIHRA and help sustain the organization for the next generation.
The value HR professionals provide to their employers and communities every day can not be overstated and often goes unrecognized. We’re committed to the success and strength of the HR community, but we need your help.
As we give the HR community access to our services and benefits free of charge, we ask for your support so we can continue providing critical and valuable resources during these unprecedented times. Even a small contribution will have a big impact on our ability to pursue our mission of supporting HR in Southern California.
We know this crisis won’t last forever, and are looking forward to getting back to normal. In the meantime, everyone here at the PIHRA Home Office appreciates any contribution you can make.

This pandemic has ushered in a new normal for everyone in HR – and PIHRA is here to help you find answers, access resources, and connect with a supportive community.
We launched the PIHRA All Access Pass on March 23, to ensure all HR professionals in (or responsible for) Southern California businesses have access to crucial resources – at no cost – through May 31.
PIHRA was founded 75 years ago to provide a space for Southern California businesses and personnel managers to collaborate, establish best practices, and find support. We’re doing everything we can to guarantee our mission (and our HR community) thrives, even during a global pandemic.
*The activation of PIHRA Workplace benefits is not instant and may take 48 hours or more.
For 75 years, PIHRA has facilitated crucial learning and relationships for the HR community. Originally founded in 1944 as the Personnel and Industrial Relations Association (PIRA) by a small group of Los Angeles personnel administrators, PIHRA has grown to serve seventeen professional chapters, nine student chapters and three specialty groups, in addition to our annual conference which serves 3,000 HR professionals from all over California, the United States, and the world.
You’re what keeps us going, today and tomorrow. It’s our goal to make sure no one in HR goes without the resources they need to succeed in the face of these unforeseen business and workforce challenges. It’s why we opened up our membership benefits to so many and why we’re just an email or call away if you need help. It’s also why we hope to continue to serve your HR career as well as future generations of HR practitioners.
If PIHRA has helped you in your HR career, or you believe in supporting HR as much as we do, please contribute to help sustain PIHRA. Even a small amount will make a significant difference for us.

Let’s not forget the impact of simple gestures as well. It’s important that we recognize these hard working individuals who don’t often get credit for their contributions.
If you know someone who works in HR, send them a quick note of thanks, or tag them on social to let them know how much they are appreciated. #ThankYouHR
