PIHRA LOYOLA MARYMOUNT UNIVERSITY

About

Founded in 1911, LMU is a premier Catholic university rooted in the Jesuit and Marymount traditions. Our 142-acre bluff-top campus is located in West Los Angeles and is ranked in the top 15 percent nationally (Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education, 2019).The College of Business Administration (CBA) at Loyola Marymount University (LMU) is one of the top business schools in the nation. Established in 1926 as a center for strategic thinking and innovation in Southern California, we strive for academic excellence and prepare students — from eager undergraduates to experienced executives — to use their immense talents and unique skills to advance the interests of both industry and society.

Our society (HRMS) is committed to equipping members with the knowledge, skills, and network necessary for successful careers in HR. Through year-round support, educational programs, and industry exposure, we aim to prepare our members to excel in the dynamic field of Human Resource Management. By creating a community for meaningful relationships and practical experiences, we strive to empower the next generation of HR professionals to make significant contributions to the industry.

Mission

The HRM Society is an on-campus organization that is committed to the professional development and success of its members. Members will be exposed and have the opportunity to explore the different concentrations within Human Resources. The HRM society works with members throughout the year to support and prepare them for future careers in HR. The ultimate goal is to give members the tools and information needed to develop meaningful relationships in order to prepare them with encountering HR professions in the surrounding area.
