Mid-Year Employment Law Update
presented by Carol Gefis

Employment law in California is constantly evolving and it is difficult for employers to keep up with all of the changes and to stay compliant with the law. In this session, Carol Gefis, an attorney with 30 years of experience, will explain the new laws and the recent interpretation of old laws in a way that is both understandable and entertaining. She will provide real-life and case examples for the attendees so they come away with both knowledge and comprehension of how the new developments should be implemented in their companies or businesses to reduce the risk of potentially costly violations.

Learning Objectives
Participants will learn the following:

  1. Recent changes in legislation and case law effecting employers;
  2. Potential impact of the changes on their organizations;
  3. Best practices to follow to minimize risk for employers.
