The economy in 2019 is proving that attracting and retaining talent has never been more challenging. Employee benefits plays a major role in this endeavor and HR professionals have more compliance obligations and work on their plate than ever before. How does a diligent HR professional design a benefit program that meets employee expectations, keeps the C suite happy, and helps satisfy compliance obligations? This program will provide an update on the newest ACA developments (with a focus on what you need to know to administer your benefit plan), followed by a Q&A dispelling common myths and roadblocks, and wrapping up with some plan design options for your consideration.

Speakers

  Marilyn A. Monahan, Monahan Law Office

Marilyn A. Monahan is the owner of the Monahan Law Office in Marina del Rey. Marilyn focuses her practice on advising employers, health plans, and consultants on compliance with employee benefit and insurance laws, including ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, and COBRA. She lectures frequently to human resource and employee benefit professionals on new developments in the law. Her volunteer activities include serving on the Board of Directors of the Professionals in Human Resources Association (PIHRA). Marilyn is a past chair of the Solo and Small Firm Section of the State Bar of California, and currently serves as an advisor to that group.
 

 

Rob Boldt, Bolton & Company

Rob Boldt is an Employee Benefits Broker with Bolton and Company where he consults with for-profit and nonprofit businesses on ways to provide health insurance benefits that are cost effective and increase overall employee satisfaction. Rob helps clients to understand the latest industry trends in health care, compliance, wellness, and HR technology systems. Rob earned his MBA from Pepperdine’s Graziadio School of Business Management in 2011 and publically speaks on topics related to benefits, business models, ACA compliance and organizational behavior. He is also a regular contributor to various online publications.

Cancellation Policy

There will be a 50% administration fee for any cancellations. If you need to cancel, we must receive it in writing (email or fax) 2 business days prior to the event during normal business hours. Refunds will not be given to no-shows. Credits will not be issued for use towards future PIHRA events.
