A single ill-considered email can cause the end of a long business relationship or the beginning of a lawsuit. Endless email checking drains productivity and ruins focus. Managing email effectively and writing email sensibly are core competencies, because in today’s economy, email is business writing.

In this session, we present five principles of effective email, including:

  • Be sure email is the right medium for the message
  • Be a credible sender
  • Write a smart subject line

Participants will write a subject line for an email they need to write at work and discuss the importance of making employees aware of email policies. This presentation is excerpted from Worktalk’s popular half-day program on Ten Principles of Effective Email.

Cancellation Policy

There will be a 50% administration fee for any cancellations. If you need to cancel, we must receive it in writing (email or fax) 2 business days prior to the event during normal business hours. Refunds will not be given to no-shows. Credits will not be issued for use towards future PIHRA events.
