Now that California has legalized the recreational use of marijuana, employees have an expectation that its use should not affect their work or jobs. And if it is medical marijuana, state and federal anti-discrimination laws apply. Not so. This presentation focuses on federal law, the conflicts with state laws, and their Impact on marijuana use in the workplace. Learn about the legalization of marijuana and the effect on employers, and the Increasing tolerance of its use. We will discuss compliance and best practices in understanding and dealing with drug use, particularly marijuana.
