PIHRA recognizes that members have more demands on their time than ever before.
Recognizing that our busy members often have the desire to volunteer but not the time, we’ve instituted a way for you to make a significant contribution to your association, customized to fit your schedule – how and when you choose. All we’re asking is for you to share your particular expertise or experience with your fellow HR professionals. In return, you’ll add to your list of personal accomplishments and receive the recognition and gratitude of your peers.
There two ways you can volunteer:
1. Contribute an article:
PIHRA is currently seeking authors and relevant articles for PIHRAScope magazine. Each issue focuses on a specific theme. Themes and potential article topics are listed below. The topics listed are suggestions and aren’t set in stone. Articles must contain information of use to PIHRA members (executives, practitioners, service providers, students and/or consultants). Subject matter should reflect HR practices and should not be veiled advertisements/teasers for your company or services. They should be between 800-1250 words. Simple graphics to illustrate a model or process are very effective. Microsoft Word format is preferred.

2. Serve on an ad-hoc editorial board:
For each issue we will assemble an ad-hoc editorial board to work with the Marketing Department. Editors will be responsible for evaluating submitted articles for Readability, HR Relevance, HR Level and making a recommendation to publish or not.
