2017-2019 PIHRA Executive Committee Elections
Are you a leader? Do you want to help promote the human resources community? The PIHRA Nominating Committee is pleased to announce four opportunities for volunteer leadership on the 2017-2019 PIHRA Executive Committee.
The PIHRA Nominating Committee is interested in you if you . . .
- Are interested in serving the human resources profession through a volunteer leadership role in PIHRA
- Are a current voting PIHRA member in good standing
- Have served as a PIHRA voting board member or have been a member of your district board in the past
The following terms of office will commence on August 30, 2017 and expire August 28, 2019:

2016-2018 PIHRA Immediate Past President
The Secretary shall keep a record of all minutes of the meetings of the Board of Directors and meetings of the members, give notices of all meetings, provide ballots and perform such other duties and exercise such powers as the Board or the President may assign.
Vice President – District Oversight
The Vice-President-District Oversight shall be responsible for maintaining communication between the Districts, encouraging visitations, facilitating the exchange of ideas and resources, succession planning, problem resolution and acting as liaison between the District Chairs, the PIHRA administrative staff and the Executive Committee. The Vice President-District Oversight will act as the contact person and ombudsperson for the Districts and provide guidance when operational issues arise relating to the District members or the District Board. The Vice President-District Oversight will ensure that incoming District officers have access to resources and training for their positions and perform such other duties and exercise such powers as the Board or the President may assign.
Vice President – Emerging Professionals and Students
The Vice President-Emerging Professionals and Students shall be responsible for monitoring and evaluating issues and ideas that emerge to concern and effect the Human Resources profession, and promoting the development, awareness and education surrounding identified issues and ideals. Examples include diversity awareness and inclusion, college relations, workforce readiness, global workforce issues, multi-generational workforce issues and next generation of workforce development. The Vice President-Emerging Professionals and Students shall perform such other duties and exercise such powers as the Board or the President may assign.
Vice President – Membership
The Vice President-Membership Development shall be responsible for member recruiting and retention and perform such other duties and exercise such powers as the Board or the President may assign.
