Talking to Crazy
by Mark Goulston, M.D.
Facilitator, Dana Mayhew, MPA, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, PHR-CA
“Psychology Today” calls Talking to Crazy the “Swiss Army Knife” of self-improvement books. We all wrestle with those difficult people that make you fume, walking away wishing you handled the situation better. Dana Mayhew is the eldest of six siblings, known for their warring ways. She spent her youth mediating between them and her Apollonian /Dionysian parents. Finding herself with a talent for conflict resolution, she started her career in labor relations, bridging the gap between hostile unions and recalcitrant management.
Dana is a former human resources executive and currently an HR consultant with over 30 years’ management experience. Some of it has been more than a little raucous. She would love to share what she’s learned along her journey about working with difficult people and a few crazies. We all know them at work, in our community, or alas in our homes. Join us for an engaging evening. While we can’t take a scalpel to the crazies in our lives, we can learn to deal with them effectively!
