One of the greatest challenges for employers in California is keeping abreast of legal developments. Each year brings new court decisions, laws, and regulations that impact how organizations conduct business. In this program, we will discuss the key developments in employment law and issues of current concern for employers in California.

Susan M. Steward, Partner, AALRR

Susan Steward is a partner in the Cerritos office of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo. She counsels and represents public and private sector employers in all employment-related matters, including defending against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. Ms. Steward also defends employers in class action lawsuits, particularly class actions involving claims for unpaid overtime and meal and rest periods. She represents for-profit and nonprofit companies, governmental entities, and trade associations in state and federal courts and before administrative judges and agencies.


 

Certifications

 

This program has been approved for 2.0 Professional Development Credits (PDCs), towards SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP, through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Cancellation Policy

There will be a 50% administration fee for any cancellations. If you need to cancel, we must receive it in writing (email or fax) 2 business days prior to the event during normal business hours. Refunds will not be given to no-shows. Credits will not be issued for use towards future PIHRA events.
