PIHRA Inland Valley
Neuroscience, Feedback and Performance Reviews:
Giving and receiving feedback, particularly at annual review time, is typical at most companies. But have you considered the affect that feedback has on the brain? Neuroscience tells us that our brains are designed to protect us, making receiving feedback challenging. In light of this, how can the annual performance appraisal period, and feedback overall, be more effective? In this session we’ll explore:
- Strategies for giving and receiving feedback that are brain-friendly
- Adjustments to consider for the annual review
- Coaching conversations as a means for effective feedback
