Positive psychology encourages encouraged an emphasis on happiness, well-being, and positivity. We will be having a live-stream book discussion with co-author, Jeffrey Auerbach, Ph.D. of his seminal book on positive coaching. Learn the techniques from the master himself. This is both a scholarly, and practical, how-to coaching book that features empirically based and immediately usable applications for executive and personal coaches. Our discussion will be facilitated by Paola Alvarez, MS, SPHR, PHRca, SHRM-SCP, ACC – Human Resources Executive & Advanced Certified Personal and Executive Coach (ACPEC) at our Tuesday, May 16, meeting.

Speaker and Author

Dr. Jeffrey E. Auerbach

 

Dr. Jeffrey E. Auerbach is the founder and President of the College of Executive Coaching, and has served as Vice-President of the International Coach Federation Global Board of Directors. He has also served as both President, and for five years as an International Board Member of the Association of Coach Training Organizations. He served on the ICF Governance Workgroup, and also served for five years on the Editorial Board of Coaching: International Journal of Theory, Research and Practice. An expert on emotional intelligence in the workplace Dr. Auerbach is a frequent keynote speaker on peak performance, executive well-being and emotional intelligence.

Auerbach is the author of the classic coaching book, Personal and Executive Coaching, in its 20th printing, as well as, Seeing the Light: What Organizations Need to Know, the Well-Being Coaching Workbook, and co-author of Positive Psychology in Coaching: Applying Science to Executive Coaching. Dr. Auerbach is certified in many assessments utilized in coaching and has utilized and taught the use of the MBTI Step II, the FIRO-B, the Coaching Report for Leaders, the HayGroup ESCI, and the EQI for 16 years; as well as Korn Ferry assessments, the Leadership Versatility Index and is an Accredited Master trainer in the Emotional Quotient Inventory 2.0 and the EQ360.

He holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and Antioch University.
