Kathy is a Certified Specialist in Immigration & Nationality Law, State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.
She is the co-founder of a 20 attorney full service immigration law firm located in downtown Los Angeles.
She has over twenty-five years of immigration experience serving a diverse client base with an emphasis on business immigration in the professional, high technology, academic, fine arts, scientific and entertainment fields. Clients range in size from start-up enterprises to publicly-traded multinational corporations, as well as nonprofit entities, government institutes and universities.
Ilana Smith, Director of International Offices for Caltech
Ilana has been in her position since May 2013. Prior to joining Caltech in 2002 as an international scholar advisor, she practiced immigration law. She has presented at national and regional conferences, as well as webinars for NAFSA: Association of International Educators and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. She currently serves on the NAFSA ISS-RP Travel Subcommittee and is a former member of the NAFSA ISS-RP Exchange Visitor Program Subcommittee. She received her J.D. from Temple University School of Law and A.B. from Bryn Mawr College.
