Bullying in the Workplace: Where Are We in 2016?
With pending legislation in a number of states to make bullying an illegal employment practice and several states that have already mandated training on abusive conduct in the workplace, this is one of the hottest topics in HR. If you attended last year’s session and want to hear more OR if this is a topic newly of interest to you, please join us for this interactive and thought-provoking seminar. Utilizing live audience polling, we can collectively discuss and develop how we think our legislatures and our HR Departments can address the problem.
The following questions will be answered:
- What are the practical and legal definitions of bullying?
- Is bullying an illegal/prohibited workplace behavior?
- What are the impacts of bullying on the workplace?
- What can/should HR professions do when confronted with workplace bullying?
- What is being done on the federal and state level with regards to anti-bullying legislation?
- When does bad behavior cross the line and become bullying?
- Do you need policies, procedures, training on bullying?
- What are the risks for employers?
