This program will be a comprehensive panel discussion for the experienced HR professional tackling a variety of topics, including:

- how to effectively conduct interviews and document review;
- strategies for reaching well-reasoned conclusions;
- challenges in drafting the report; and
- how to institute corrective action and document the investigation.

- strategies for evaluating credibility; and
- how and when the attorney-client/work product privilege can limit (or preclude) discoverability of investigation notes, reports, etc.

Aisha Shelton Adam, Esq., Reddock Law Group
Aisha Shelton Adam has nearly fifteen (15) years of experience in business litigation and labor and employment matters. Adam regularly conducts management and employment training, prepares employment agreements, employee handbooks and policies, prepares DFEH/EEOC position statements, and provides day-to-day employment counseling on workplace issues such as hiring, discipline and termination of employees, and compliance with wage and hour, discrimination, and harassment laws.
Since 2007, Adam has conducted impartial workplace investigations on behalf of public and private sector employers, including municipalities, community colleges, independent schools, and public entities.
In January 2017, Adam attended the T9 Mastered training program on issues related to sexual assault and sexual harassment on college campuses and received a Title IX certificate of completion.
In February 2017, Adam successfully completed the Association of Workplace Investigators’ (“AWI”) new assessment-based week-long certificate program for workplace investigators.
Denise Drake, Polsinelli LLP
Denise Drake is known for her creative and practical approach to employment law issues, as well as her sincere interest in helping employers improve their workplaces, proactively avoid litigation, and strategically defend lawsuits.
Denise received a certificate in workplace investigations following her completion of an intensive four-day, accredited course at the Training Institute for Workplace Investigators.
Denise passionately represents management in the construction, energy, financial services, food and beverage, gaming, insurance, health care, legal, and retail industries. Denise has successfully defended companies in many significant employment lawsuits, including collective, class, multi-plaintiff, and multi-defendant actions. She has obtained defense verdicts in trials and arbitrations involving sexual harassment; sex, race, disability, and age discrimination; as well as retaliation and whistleblower claims.
Simon Keshishian, Red Bull
Since 2010, Simon Keshishian has been the Senior Director of Risk Management for US and Canada for Red Bull, the world's No. 1 energy drink with annual revenues of nearly $8 Billion. (Amongst other things, Red Bull's interests include a record label, a media company, international hockey teams, soccer teams and arenas, Formula 1 race teams, and world-class manufacturing and distribution operations).
Formerly, Simon was the insurance program manager (Risk Manager) at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and spent the prior decade in claims management and litigation management roles of increasing responsibility at established carriers such as The Travelers, The Hartford, ACE-USA (now Chubb), and HDI-Gerling (now HDI Global).

There will be a 50% administration fee for any cancellation. If you need to cancel, we must receive it in writing (email or fax) 2 business days prior to an event during normal business hours. Refunds will not be given to no-shows. Credits will not be issued for use towards future PIHRA events.
