PIHRA is a professional organization, which meets to enhance business contacts, knowledge and careers. Members and the general public may attend our meetings, which are held for business and human resources professionals, managers, executives and CEO's. We emphasize strategic business issues and trends at our meetings, which extend to various disciplines within organizations. We invite you to join our cohesive group, to make business contacts and enhance your career opportunities.
The best way to get to know our District and its members is to attend one of our events. Savory cuisine is always featured, whether we hold a breakfast meeting, or after-hours event. We welcome you to join us. We start our meetings with a half-hour of networking, follow with legislative updates, continue with announcements of current events, job openings and job seekers, and conclude with an hour-long presentation by a well-versed business expert. When we hold after-hours mixers, we emphasize terrific food, wine, socializing and networking. Our monthly meetings and mixers usually last two hours, though mixers are open-ended.

Reasonable Accommodation Under the ADA and the Interactive Process
Meeting Description:
Paul Fleck, Partner with Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo, will connect the dots and discuss strategies to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities through the interactive process in an effort to reduce employer liability. He will discuss the practical steps to take to improve compliance under the ADA and identify strategies to conduct an effective interactive process.
About the Speaker:
Paul Fleck is a partner in the Cerritos and Irvine offices of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo. He represents management exclusively in all aspects of employment litigation and employee relations matters. Mr. Fleck is a member of the State Bar of California, American Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association; a Board of Director for the Santa Fe Springs Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of its Human Resources Roundtable Committee.
