Every new year brings a new set of challenges for assessing and managing compensation.

This year many organizations are facing how to:

• Differentiate merit increases with a limited budget
• Keep up with industry pay practices

• Deal with stagnant pay ranges

• Attract and retain key talent

• Implement a significant minimum wage increase.

In this session, Jennifer E. Sunderland, Principle of Strategic Pay Resources, will discuss strategies for turning these and other compensation challenges in to affordable opportunities for companies to maximize their compensation investment. Various methods such as carve-out plans, multiple merit pools, lump sum increases, merit matrices, variable pay plans, and others will be addressed.

Participants will gain insight into which strategies would work in their organizations and the key steps involved in implementation.
